Support

A person experiencing a mental health crisis requires as much support as possible to help them through their time of need. Usually, the individual will mainly turn to, and rely on family, friends, or colleagues for that support.

Unfortunately, after generations of myth and misconception, people are often unsure of what to say or do in these situations and may well be afraid that if they say the wrong thing, they will make matters far worse.

We hear these concerns repeatedly from those supporting a person in crisis, and so we have developed a series of self-help guides. These guides enable one to feel comfortable in the first instance and then advise on how to best support their family member, friend, or colleague through their time of need.
