We receive no state funding and are completely reliant upon the following strands of income to fund our services:
Furniture Stores
The resale of donated, second-hand furniture has developed into our primary source of income. Starting with as little as one piece of someone’s unwanted sofa, sales from donated furniture have enabled us to grow, develop, and expand our services.
From our shops in Skibbereen and Clonakilty, we offer a huge range of sofas, wardrobes, lockers, tables and chairs, and everything in between, including clothes, art and bric-a-brac.
Every time someone donates a piece of furniture to us they are actively helping someone in our community get the help they need to get through their mental health crisis.
We urgently need any unwanted items. Please remember that by donating to us, you’re not just doing your bit for the environment by saving the items from landfill, but you are also helping someone experiencing a mental health crisis get the help they need.

Fundraising
We hold a number a number of flag days, bag packing, and ‘spinathons’ throughout the year.
We are also very reliant upon people holding fundraisers for us. These not only raise vital funds, but also help to raise our profile as a charity and spread the word that help is out there

Donations
There are no big CEO salaries at Lisheens House and none of the money raised goes up to Dublin to be drip-fed back down.
Every donation we receive goes directly into funding the services we provide in communities throughout Cork.

We offer tailor-made employee assistance programmes which entail counselling, QPR training. No matter how large or small a company or workforce is, we can customise an employee wellness package to suit your company needs.
