The Men’s Sheds are meeting for their West Cork Cluster meeting at Lisheens House on the 28th November. On the agenda is a discussion of the Malehealth.ie website, which give an opportunity for men of all ages to check their health, physical and mental. Male Health says:
“Often it is not until an illness or health scare occurs that we take stock of the factors that influence our health, such as our individual lifestyle choices, our local community and social circles, the environment we live and work in as well as wider social and economic influences”.
To encourage us to think about our health sooner, Male Health.ie offers an online check up system, Spanner in the Works, that men can use to assess the state of their health. The check-up is followed by some useful advice to address any health issues discovered, and a range of online resources and links.
